And here marks a new low... I'm posting for the 3rd day in a row without a photo taken on that day (even though I have been taking photos... they have just sucked.) I just keep slipping farther and farther back too. This one is actually from the 4th (of July.) I was gonna use this one back then, but then that awesome train just had to show up. Oh well, shit happens. This is life after all, and this has been an exciting week.

So here is a tribute to Zellers. Row upon row of the same damn batteries. I think we actually have something like 9 or 10 racks with these exact batteries on them. As of 3:13pm on July 4th, 2005, the system said that we had 4972 of them on hand. So in honour of the place that has kept me too busy and tired to go and create good photos, I give you the Energizers.

Technically there isn't much to say about this photo. There aren't a huge pile of adjustments on this one like some of the others, but there is this a rather large colour shift. I pulled the shadows towards the blue side (makes it feel more atmospheric; more depth) and the highlights towards a sickly green (just like the thousands of fluorescent lights in that building.) To try to make it the colours as uncomfortable as possible (while remaining realistic) I pushed the midrange towards a magenta, to clash with the green highlights. It's all very subtle, but it's there.
