Enchantment

Captured with a Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL and 18mm lens at f/8.0 for 10s and 400 ISO.

I went out with Dani to see Tim Burton's "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"... I'll tell ya now, I have only seen a few highly experimental films that are more messed up than this. But I would still recommend it to (almost) everyone, cause it's just that different. So I was damn tired by the end of the day, and with no photo yet, I decided I wasn't going to do it. But I thought otherwise once I saw some interesting lighting while driving home from Dani's. I actually did doubled back with the car to get this shot... And some of you know how scared of the dark I am.

Why would I even post this? It's just like every other basic night photo you say? That's what I thought too, until I wasn't able to remove the colour from the lights without the foreground looking really wrong. So I balanced for the foreground (the white stripe on the road, for example) and I was left with magenta lights. I really don't understand how that is possible, as they are the only source of light in the photograph (there is one behind me, granted.)

I have noticed that more often than now (nearly like 70ish percent) of my photos are extremely not level. I usually do it in order to create a more interesting or stable composition. On this one, I wanted the white line to be vertical, making it a dominating element leading straight into the distance. Does any body else have an opinion on my angled look on life?

There is only a single curves pass on here after the RAW conversion. Really simple. I would type some more, but I'm gonna go and do 2 more right now, and so I have to conserve my energy (it is nearly 1 in the morning, after all.)
