Stop to Smell the Roses

As it stands right now, I don't plan on having an image for yesterday (the 30th.) Maybe if I get a few really swanky ones tmo or the day after I shall reconsider. Oh well. So say hello to a dozen roses. You cant see them all here, but i do assure you that they are there. Before you ask... Yes, I did in fact buy these roses for a certain lucky young lady. Who thinks they know who? Shouldn't be to hard for y'all to figure out. ;)

I took this in my backyard, so I had the natural softbox of the sky at my disposal. I shielded as much of it as I could so that a soft light would be spilling only from above. Then I brought the contrast back up with a curves call and a really wide unsharp mask. Just a couple of colour balancing adjustments, and I was done.
