the Winding Sweep

Ya know... I'm still undecided on whether I even like this one or not. There is simply too much going on that pulls my attention in too many directions. I'm thinking about cropping this one square, leaving only the water washing onto the beach. Some very nice visual characteristics down there.

The best part about converting to b/w in post, is just how much control you have over it. Not only can you choose exactly how much of which colour you want to use for the final value, but you can control how they are combined, and even use different ratios for different parts of the image. Thinking about it, that is probably what made it so over-stimulating to my eye... I tried to make everything stand out. Hmm...
