the Weed

Captured with a Canon EOS DIGITAL REBEL and 47mm lens at f/8.0 for 1/125s and 200 ISO.

I have discovered that I need to invest in nice pair of gloves minus the fingertips, so I can operate my camera and still keep feeling in my hand. So here is that crazy whatever it is that is growing over a lot of buildings at school. It's been a while since I've posted something with colour... and that's all that this one is.

I find it amazing how far I've come in far of getting the most technical quality out of a file. I started out shooting 8bit JPEGs in the sRGB colour space, with no sharpening, and no optical corrections. And now every photo comes through my (much more elaborate) pipeline as a 16bit PSD in the Adobe RGB colour space converted from a RAW file, with 3 levels of sharpening (input, creative, and output, or course), and all the optical aberrations that are correctable have been removed. I just started making leaps and bound in noise reduction and so forth. Maybe I should start writing some collection of my insights. Would anybody actually read them?

And for that matter... is anybody actually looking here anymore? Nobody leaves any comments. It's quite sad actually. How bout you do something just for me? Just stick in your name, and a short "Hi." or something, just so I know you exist. You say you'll leave a real comment too? Well, that's just excellent.
